G/Flex: the Only Flex Epoxy, by WEST Systems

($22, mailed in the USA. Overseas pays excess. Postage is about $5 so my product price is about $17. Cheap, relatively.)
G/Flex is a miracle epoxy released by the famous Michigan epoxy makers, the Gougeon brothers of WEST Systems.
It is a *toughened* epoxy that is waterproof and flexs.
It deals really well with vibration and mis-matched shrinkage and expansion.
You can do a LOT with it.
You mix it 50/50. It's runny. It takes 7 hrs to set and a day to cure. (You can "pin" pieces for the short-term til it sets up by using a couple strategic drops of 5-min epoxy.)
It has a smell and isn't perfectly clear.
But you can glue WET stuff with it! And all sorts of dissimilar materials. And stuff that flexes when you use it. It's REALLY strong -- stronger than other epoxies, the chemists say.
You can use it on aluminum boats, say.
Workers at WEST have used it as a kind of Shoe-Goo on steroids.
They have a sweet free magazine called Epoxyworks detailing all the hundreds of ways their epoxies are used. A lot of boats are involved.
Now when you get into WEST you're going into the deep end of epoxy. You can buy their products in every formula and volume. You can thicken it or buy it thick. You can slow down or speed up the set time. You can thin it. You can add 'spheres' and fill with it.
But I find the G/Flex to be what I reach for most often and find to deliver the real goods. So it's the only epoxy that I sell!
