Something Cool About Dirt Road Riding...
September 02, 2013
...is when a rider ahead of me puts the hammer down when we're already jamming along. Their rear tire spits up fresh dirt and lays a peel-out track down the road. Even if the road is hardpacked dirt, like asphalt. When you're already going 15-20mph you can't really put down THAT much more torque but dirt roads disagree... They gladly show the traces of accelerating bike joy. Of course, if you're a bit tired then seeing your fellow rider squirt away and seeing the evidence of *all that power* can dismay. Deal with it. Grab their wheel, try to rest. Then lay down some peel-out of your own.
